The fixture holds a beautiful ball shaped shade in thick moulded-pressed glass. This model exists in three different sizes. The one HetV used for this pendant lamp is the largest version with a diameter of about 25 cm (9-7/8). These balls are always unsigned and are represented in the catalogue of Verreries des Hanots under the name’boule turbans’. The chandelier is represented in the Hettier & Vincent catalogue supplement #1 plate 131. The nickel plated solid brass or bronze fixture is of excellent quality. Very fine detailed work as can be expected from Hettier & Vincent. Note the ingenious and patented system of the H&V chain which allows the electrical wire to run as it were inside the chain. The chandelier has a drop of 66 cm (26). Of coarse I can shorten it on request. It is in excellent condition. I have renickeled and patinated the mounting and it comes rewired. It has a european E27 standard socket. For the US I will place a new US standard base one. I could wire with a B22 bayonet cap socket as well. Check my other sales. I have also a pair of this model H&V pendants listed. Check out over 250 other French art deco lamps in my shop. Visit my store: paravas com. French lamps and wiring. Art deco lamps made in France were equiped with B22 bayonet sockets. For most countries like Europe or the US such sockets are practicaly impossible to use. For instance in the States 110 volt bulbs with B22 fitters are obscure, very hard to find and only one model bulb in very limited wattages is available. In spite of what sellers of unrestored pieces of poor quality claim in their ads when they offer lamps with bayonet caps sockets : except for the UK and Australia French chandeliers and lamps need to be rewired for your country. In order to fit Edison large or small screw base bulbs as used in the USA, B22 sockets have to be replaced by American candelabra base or standard/medium size Edison screw-in sockets. E14 and E27 are modern replacements for European countries. An additional complication is that the size thread used in early French lighting to connect the sockets to the chandelier mountings or lamp bases is not compatible with the modern size threads used in the USA and Europe. New American or European sockets do not just screw on to the old lamp fixtures. In order to make it possible to use an original old French chandelier or lamp with modern screw bulb bases, a specialized restorer will have to re-tap the threads. All my cleaned and restored chandeliers, sconces and lamps come rewired with the correct sockets you will need to use modern bulbs in your country. A very rare pair of 1925 art deco chandeliers by Hettier et Vincent in gilt bronze. The uplight chandeliers each hold 6 cups in handblown acid engraved glass by Muller freres. All twelve are signed Muller fres Luneville. This model chandelier is represented on page 61 of the general catalogue of Hettier & Vincent. Hettier & Vincent was a well-known french lighting company. With a high quality finish of their lamp fixtures their 1930 art deco chandeliers are now much sought after items. As wholesale and retailer they made lamps for the top end of the market and had its shop at the prestigeous and beautiful Place de Vosges in Paris – the groundfloor of number 7. The chandeliers are in excellent condition. The Original gilt plating is still in good shape. I cleaned the mountings and rewired them. The height is about 83 cm (32-11/16) I can remove a part of the chains to make them shorter. The chandeliers are 57cm wide (22-3/8). The Muller cups have a diameter of about 16cm. The chandeliers have new european E14 sockets for the US I will rewire them with US candelabra base ones. Offered for only 2800 all-in per chandelier. Contact me if you want just one of them. The base is by the. A famous Parisian company in lighting during the interbellum. The base can be seen on page 7 in the General Catalogue H&V issued. In the catalogue it holds a Gallé shade. Over the years I have seen many lamps with this model iron base. I even had this model in different sizes. In the catalogues they published we can see that for the coloured shades they mainly worked with Daum sometimes Muller and for a few lamps they used shades of the glass factories Schneider Gallé or Baccarat. The height of the lamp is 35.8 cm (14-3/32). The shade has a diameter of 18 cm. It is signed Lorrain in acid. Lorrain was a 2nd plant Daum freres opened just after the 1st worldwar where mainly vases and shades for lighting in coloured glass was made. The lamp is in excellent condition. No chips or cracks. A small production irregularity on top of the bowl a little bubbled uneven area, not distracting at all. The base has a nice deep-brown patina and the lamp is rewired with new twisted rayon covered cord, new plug and switch. It is equiped with a metal and porcelain european E14 socket. If you prefer I can place an old B22 bayonet cap socket. For the States I will place a US candelabra base socket and 2-prong plug. Check out over 250 other French art deco lamps in my shop. HETTIER & VINCENT pair FRENCH 1930 ART DECO WALL SCONCES. Lamp muller era

A wonderful pair of French art deco uplight wall sconces in polished bronze and moulded-pressed glass. A hard to find model by this prestigious Paris based lighting shop. For their range of shades in moulded-pressed glass they often used unsigned ones made by Verreries des Hanots either Hettier Vincent signed shades exclusively produced for them by des Hanots. In the supplements of the general HV catalogue it shows in later years they also sometimes used pressed shades by Muller freres for their fixtures. The cups on this pair of sconces were made for HV by verreries des Hanots and are signed. Hettier & Vincent france. Often lamps are offered as being Hettier Vincent that are no authentic HV items at all. Many sellers place HV signed glasses on cheap if not worthless mounts and call their item a Hettier Vincent lamp. No overpriced junk like that in my shop. The mounts of this pair of sconces are authentic H&V fixtures. See the picture of a downlight version of this model sconces in the 1925-27. The sconces are about 16 cm (11-3/4) high come 26 cm of the wall and the glass cups have a diameter of 14,6 cm. The pair is in good condition. Both shades have a chip. I turned the chipped side towards the wall and placed like that it hardly shows. I will wire them for the States with US candelabra base sockets. For other countries I can place either E14 or B22 ones. Check out over 200 other French art deco lamps in my shop. Visit my store: paravas com. French lamps and wiring. A stunning F rench art deco hanging fixture by Hettier & Vincent in nickel plated bronze or solid brass holding a beautiful shade in exceptional heavy and thick glass made for Hettier et Vincent by. Des Hanots was like Verlys one of the brands of the large Holophane glass company. It’s done in moulded-pressed glass made opaque by acid and highlighted by glossy transparent polished parts. It is signed Hettier & Vincent France to the rim. Hettier & Vincent was a large well known french lighting company producing high quality items. A chandelier with identical bowl with a cheaper fixture with ropes is represented in the 1st supplement of the Hettier Vincent catalogue on page 128. The canopy of my chandelier, with the same patterns as the shade, can be found in the same catalogue on page 136. The chandelier is in very good condition. Some minuscule chips to the rim of the shade which is normal for this model bowl. As well as the common hairlines Hanots shades almost always have that are from tension inside the glass in the cooling down process during production. Around one of the three holes we can see a chip (see picture). Won’t notice with the chandelier in place… All in all an excellent condition for this rare H&V model. I have renickeled and patinated the mounting. The bowl has a diameter of about 34,5 cm (13-9/16). The chandelier has a height of 47 cm (18-1/2). It holds three european E14 sockets. For the UK France or Australia I can place B22 bayonet ones. For the US I will wire it with new US candelabra base sockets. Check out over 200 other French art deco lamps in my shop. Visit store: paravas com. French lamps and wiring. Art deco lamps made in France were equiped with B22 bayonet sockets. Check out over 200 other French art deco lamps in my shop. Visit my store: paravas com. French lamps and wiring.
