A nickel plated solid brass or bronze fixture holds a stunning globe in frosted moulded-pressed glass with polished high lights, by Marius Sabino. The globe is 25cm in diameter. It is signed Sabino 4678B. The signature is extremely vague, almost invisible but there when you know where to look for it. One picture is done with transparant tape placed on the glass so the signature gets better to catch. Below I show a page of an old Sabino catalog representing the 4678 model being the larger sister of my 4678B. The lamp has a height of 22,5 cm (about 8-7/8). The shade a diameter of 22cm (8-21/32) and the mount measures 17.6×17.6cm. I have renickeled and patinated the mount and it´s rewired with a US standard base socket. For other countries I can replace it for a european E27 or a B22 bayonet one. I have a second identical one. That one has a clear signature. Contact me if you want this 2nd one as well. I could also wire them as a pair of table lamps. Check out over 250 other French art deco lamps in my shop. Visit my store: paravas com. French lamps and wiring. Art deco lamps made in France were equiped with B22 bayonet sockets. For most countries like Europe or the US such sockets are practicaly impossible to use. For instance in the States 110 volt bulbs with B22 fitters are obscure, very hard to find and only one model bulb in very limited wattages is available. In spite of what sellers of unrestored pieces of poor quality claim in their ads when they offer lamps with bayonet caps sockets : except for the UK and Australia French chandeliers and lamps need to be rewired for your country. In order to fit Edison large or small screw base bulbs as used in the USA, B22 sockets have to be replaced by American candelabra base or standard/medium size Edison screw-in sockets. E14 and E27 are modern replacements for European countries. An additional complication is that the size thread used in early French lighting to connect the sockets to the chandelier mountings or lamp bases is not compatible with the modern size threads used in the USA and Europe. New American or European sockets do not just screw on to the old lamp fixtures. In order to make it possible to use an original old French chandelier or lamp with modern screw bulb bases, a specialized restorer will have to re-tap the threads. All my cleaned and restored chandeliers, sconces and lamps come rewired with the correct sockets you will need to use modern bulbs in your country. The item “SABINO FRENCH ART DECO FLUSH MOUNT CEILING LAMP 1930. Chandelier muller era” is in sale since Tuesday, June 27, 2017. This item is in the category “Antiques\Decorative Arts\Lamps”. The richly decorated mounting is very heavy and of excellent quality. The four glass panels are two different models, two of each. These models were produced by Verreries des Hanots (Like Verlys one of the brands of the Holophane company). The chandelier has a height of 77 cm (30-5/1 inches) and is 47,5 cm wide (18-11/16). It’s in very good condition. I have replated the mounting and patinated it. It comes newly wired. It holds four European E14 sockets. For the US I will place US candelabra base ones. A wonderful 1930 art deco desklamp in nickel plated solid brass or bronze of excellent quality. The base holds a very rare superb shade in frosted and partly polished molded-pressed glass of thick quality. This rare model is never signed. From old catalogues we know it was used by Ranc freres on modernist chandeliers around 1932. It is unknown which French glass company made these shades for Ranc and other producers of art deco lighting. Could be Schneider or Ezan. Or perhaps Muller freres or Degué. The lamp has a solid heavy base done in massive cast brass, It is marked B. Soem technical details show me it was produced by a Belgian factory around 1930. The height of the lamp is 33 cm (13) and the shade has a height of 14cm. The lamp is in excellent condition. I have renickeled the base. It is rewired with new cloth covered twisted cord and is equiped with. A new european E14 socket. For the States I will wire the lamp with a US candelabra base socket and US 2-prong plug. I can also wire for Australia. Check out over 250 other French art deco lamps in my shop. Visit my store: paravas com. French lamps and wiring. A beautiful pair of French art deco wall sconces around 1930-35. Polished solid brass mounts hold leaf shaped slip shades in molded-pressed glass. The shades have a frosted structured surface on the inside giving them a vivid appearance. The shades are signed Ezan france. Ezan was a large glass manufactory in the small town of Ezanville a little north of Paris. In the mid 30ies it became wellknown for its glassware in bluish opalescent semi-crystal like we can often see on for instance Charles Ranc or Henri Petitot chandeliers of the late thirties. I wasn’t able to find out which company made the fixtures of these sconces. But they exist in several versions: copper plated brass, copper plated spelter, polished brass and nickeled brass. The sconces are in excellent condition. I have cleaned and polished the brass mounts. And they come rewired. Right now they hold their old B22 bayonet sockets. For the US I will wire them with US candelabra base ones. For Europe I can place E14. The sconces are about 34 cm high (13-6/16″) and 20 cm wide (7-7/8″). LEON RICHARD MULLER FRERES. A beautiful French 1930 bronze art deco lamp by Léon Richard. This monsieur Richard had a company in Paris making electrical lamps in art deco style. Most of the Richard models were in spelter. Some luxurious ones like the lamp on offer were done in bronze. The base holds a shade by Muller freres, the famous glass manufactory in Luneville near the city of Nancy. The lamp is represented in the 1926 Richard catalogue with shades in fabric and alabaster and it was available is several different finishes as well. Here offered with a moulded-pressed Muller shade. In the old catalogues this model shade is refered to as ´tulipe aux rideaux´. It is always signed yet the signature is almost never there or only small parts of it are. The Muller fres Luneville signature is located at the very top of the shade around the hole. After the glasses came out of the mould they were grinded flat in the factory and like that most of the time the signature was partialy or completely grinded off. The lamp is in excellent condition. It is 37,5 cm high (14-3/4). I have cleaned the beautiful bronze base. And the lamp comes rewired with new twisted rayon covered cord, new plug and switch. For the US or Canada I will place a US candelabra base socket and 2-prong plug. I can wire for Australia as well. Check out over 250 other French art deco lamps in my shop. A signed french 1930 art deco chandelier in nickel plated bronze and brass holding three wonderful slip shades in thick moulded-pressed glass signed EJG. Slip shades in the shape of palmtree leaves were popular in the 30ies. Most large glass factories had their own versions. To my humble opinion the two models EJG made are the nicest of them all. The chandelier is in excellent condition. At the bottom inside of the glasses all three shades have chips. It are no damages. To fit in the mounting the maker of the chandelier who bought the shades for it at EJG took some of the glass of. Its on the inside and hidden by the fixture. The lamp is replated and it comes rewired. It now holds european E14 candelabra sockets. For the US I will replace them for american candelabra base ones. B 22 bayonet cap sockets for France the UK or Australia are possible as well. The chandelier has a drop of 65 cm (25-5/8). The diameter of the lamp is about 50 cm (19-5/8).
